Where it all began
2016
During a summer pleasure drive with a friend the idea of starting a tour business was briefly discussed.
By the November of that year the business website had been built, the first car had been bought and bookings for 2017 had started to come in.
2017
2017 was the first full year of delivering tours. 1 man, 1 car.
2018
In early 2018 it became clear there was enough demand to require an additional vehicle and the decision was made to add to the fleet with a minivan. At that point there was also a requirement to add to the team. 2 men, 1 car and 1 minivan.
2019
By the end of 2018 an additional vehicle was required to allow continued expansion into 2019. Demand was still above the businesses capacity to supply! 3 men, 1 car and 2 minivans.
2020
COVID nearly killed the business.
2021
2021 started with minimal bookings and no discernible increase in demand or supply until March when the COVID restrictions were lifted and the business returned to full steam ahead … by the end of the year 1 car, 2 minivans and enough guides to drive them all!
At home there was a new arrival in the shape of Junior YST.
2022
Demand over the winter of 2021 and 2022 indicated a need for increased vehicle count so we’re now at 2 cars, 2 minivans and enough guides to drive them!
2023
Continuing to go from strength to strength the team increases in size as does the fleet (with another car), giving better holiday cover and broader knowledge. Unfortunately 1 of our minivans is written off while parked in the flooding of Storm Babet. Demand for 2024 is solid. 3 cars 1 minivan and enough guides to drive them all!
2024
Early in the year the written off minivan is replaced with 2 minivans both VW Shuttles with 8 passenger seats to add to the fleet making a total of 3 minivans and 3 cars. The team expands too giving us a headcount of 7 guides. Towards the end of the year an additional car is bought to allow for some additional capacity where required.
2025
Continuing with the fleet of 6 vehicles (plus a spare) the business increases revenue and number of tours delivered showing approximately 50% growth year on year.
2026
Looking into 2026 our bookings are continuing to show strong growth through 2026 with an additional minivan being added to the fleet early in the year. This is a brand new VW Transporter Shuttle making the fleet 4 minivans and 4 cars. The guide team continues to impress clients with their professionalism, knowledge and customer care. Bookings for 2027 and 2028 are being taken and the plans for next year are to add an additional car to the fleet.
