Your Scotland Tours, terms and conditions of booking.

  1. By using this website to contact us,  you are entering into an agreement with us to plan, arrange and provide your custom written tour of Scotland.
  2. Pricing; All prices are accurate when quoted but may change prior to booking. Once booked pricing will only change should 3rd party pricing or taxes  increase / change.
  3. Payment
    1. Full payment is required to be made 8 weeks (56 days) before the start of your tour. Failure to make your final payment on time may be considered a cancellation by you.
    2. 50% of your tour price is considered a non-refundable deposit and will be payable at the time of booking.
    3. Payment methods are only online card transaction via links we supply OR direct balance transfer / wire to our UK bank account. 
  4. Accommodation. Accommodation in line with your budget and requirements will be booked, our driver will stay in a minimum 3 star accommodation within 10 miles of your location; sometimes in remote areas it will be the same hotel. When within 1 hour drive of home our driver will return there. Our accommodation costs are included in your final bill.
  5. Meals. Ordinarily your accommodation will be booked on a Bed and Breakfast basis which means other meals (e.g. lunch and dinner) will need to be paid for in addition. We will ensure you dine at venues which are in accordance with your dietary requirements, budget and taste wherever possible. Where you request we join you for meals you will ordinarily be expected to pay for our meals. Note: Some remote areas of Scotland have limitations of available restaurant types.
  6. Luggage. You may bring 1 medium sized piece of luggage which will be transported in the luggage compartment of our vehicle and 1 smaller ‘handbag’ size item which you can, if you wish, keep with you in the cabin of the vehicle, per person. Large suitcases will be accommodated where possible, however if there’s no room in the vehicle, storage or onward shipping at your expense will be arranged where possible.
  7. Time. You will supply us with arrival times into a Scottish airport and the flight number. We will meet you at the airport, assist you with your luggage to the vehicle. If you are already in Scotland then you will supply us with your full pick up location and be there at the arranged time. It is your responsibility to be at the agreed pickup location. Should you fail to be where and when you say, refunds will not be issued, regardless of fault or cause.
  8. Working hours; to comply with UK working time and driver hours legislation our normal working day is 8 to 9 hours total with clients (normally approximately 9am to 5pm). 
  9. No refund will be given in the event of cancellation due to weather conditions, even if this prevents your reaching the agreed pickup / start location of your tour. We will do anything we reasonably can to ensure your tour goes ahead but will not be held liable if you fail to reach the start or a nearby location.
  10. Itinerary. We will work with you to tailor your itinerary to include all we can from your list of desired locations, we can advise on suitable locations and experiences if you would like. No responsibility for disappointment with 3rd party providers will be accepted.
    1. Once your itinerary has been accepted by you subsequent changes will be charged at £100 per day with any change.
  11. Cancellation policy applies to the whole or part of your booked tour.
    1. All cancellations incur a 10% transaction fee and a £100 administration fee.
    2. If you cancel with more than 56 days notice you will be liable to a cancellation fee equivalent to your 50% deposit, minus any non-recoverable expenses we have incurred on your behalf a 10% transaction fee and a £100 administration fee.
    3. If you cancel with less than 56 days notice you will be liable to a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of your total tour cost.
  12. Your Scotland Tour reserve the right to use an alternative supplier with no notice to our customers should we deem necessary.
  13. Travel Insurance is a mandatory requirement; Please ensure you (and everyone in your group) have made adequate travel insurance arrangements. Note; if you are coming off a cruise ship your insurance must cover shore excursion cancellations.
  14. Complaints; Please raise any complaints / concerns while on tour directly with your guide. If required your guide can and will raise concerns to the management team.
  15. Your Scotland Tour reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
