Your Scotland Whisky Tour Find out more about Touring the Distilleries of Scotland

It’s a big place, Scotland. With over 100 working distilleries, many with visitor centres there’s a lot to choose from! Our owner claims to have been drinking whisky since before he can remember, is a member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and has turned non believers into aficionados! Well maybe they’ve found a dram or two they like!

Of course, the distilleries you choose to visit may depend on where you fly into! Flying into Inverness or Aberdeen will put Speyside at your fingertips. With whiskies like Glenfiddich, Aberlour, The Glenlivet and many more to choose from this is a great introduction to Scottish whisky distillery tours.

Flying into Edinburgh would put Dalwhinnie and Edradour within easy reach as well as some other well known names.

Landing in Glasgow opens up the rich west coast area, with Campbelltown and the wonderful Springbank on offer, not to mention Auchentoshan, Oban and maybe even access to Islay itself (an overnight stay on the island may be required depending on flight and ferry times).

We can add the unusual or rarely visitable distillers to your list; We have contacts within many of the local distilleries which may make a visit possible; get in touch. Obviously with exclusivity comes cost; but not many friends at home will have a unique bottle they filled for themselves directly from a cask on their shelves!

And for those of us who enjoy a blended whisky, which does account for 90% of the scotch whisky market we can focus on distilleries like Strath Isla the home of Chivas Regal and the Chivas Brothers Story around Ellon and Aberdeen. Find out how we got on a the Chivas Blending Experience here

We’ve been to a great many distilleries around Scotland and can advise on the best experiences and the ones’ to avoid.
