Unfortunately as a small business Trip Advisor does not work well for us. We cannot sell our service via their website so our listing with them advertises “competitors” who do sell via Trip Advisor.

Gus was the perfect guide and driver - he is a master story teller and history teacher and we learned so much more than anticipated about Scottish history, geography, sites, etc. We saw more and learned way more than anticipated! The van with his speaker system so we could hear was perfect for us. No need to hire a separate tour of any of the castles or battlefield as we had our own expert explaining all to us on the way to each site! There was a ferry schedule change and our driver Gus managed the ferry change etc for us so we didn't have to do anything. Ross puts in a lot of activities so you know all the options. We did most but also opted for later checkouts due to jet lag etc. This is a totally private tour so you can change whatever you want and your driver will accommodate and recommend changes based on what you want to do. Our only regret was that we wish we had gone more than a week. We did one night on the isle of Mull in Tobermary but wish we had time to explore the island and neighboring islands with a few more days there. Anyway, a great trip and we will highly recommend to anyone wanting to do totally custom and private deep dive into Scotland, it's beauty and history. EXCELLENTVerified A Fabulous Holiday Crossed Off From the Bucket List! 6 minutes ago Everything on our Whisky Scotch tour worked out so wonderfully! A Shout-out to our driver-extraordinaire, Gus! With him, everything was seamless; all my husband and I ever had to do was show up! The time in the car literally flew by as he regaled us with the history and folklore of Vikings, Scots, Fairies, and other supernatural beings. Occasionally, these anecdotes were accompanied by music that enhanced the experience. Listening to the "Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond" was so moving that it almost brought me to tears! In addition to his wit and knowledge, Gus is an excellent and safe driver. He never lost patience and politely gave way to other vehicles that we encountered. He made "pitstops" whenever needed and never once told us to wait because we were almost at our destination. Now, let’s not forget the Mastermind! Ross’s behind-the-scenes planning truly set the stage for this outstanding holiday! The routes, distilleries, and itineraries chosen were excellent! Furthermore, the hotels and restaurants recommended and booked were well-suited to our taste and needs; they also provided a venue for great memory making! We are considering possibly visiting Edinburgh at the end of October, and if we do, we are considering going to Skye. Without a doubt, we will be reaching out if it comes to fruition!! Ross, the owner, created a personalized itinerary based entirely on what we wanted. We were focused on history, whisky, and staying off the beaten path. I honestly thought we would have to cut the Orkney Islands due to time, but Ross strongly recommended we keep them in. He was right. Orkney ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the entire trip. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly. I would give 10 stars to Your Scotland Tour if I had that option on TripAdvisor -- we had a superb time with Gus Cameron, our tour guide and resident history scholar. Everything about this week was superb, from the comfort of the automobile to the expert driving, in-depth historical context, humor and professionalism of our guide. We had the flexibility to adjust our itinerary when necessary, and once Gus understood our interests and energy level, he was able to suggest additional areas of interest to suit us. I also enjoyed the ease of working with Ross Shand, the company owner. But it was Gus that really made the trip for my friend and me. I strongly recommend this tour company!

I had 36 hours to spend in the Edinbough area and Ross, the company owner, made sure that those 36 hours were used effeciently. We recently returned from an 8 day tour of the Highlands with Your Scotland Tours. Before choosing this company I did a lot of research and contacted just about every company that offers tours to this area. I chose Your Scotland Tours because the owner of the company, Ross, was quick to respond to every question I had (and I had many!), knowledgeable, patient with me and my multitudinous emails, and with his expert input we planned an excellent and reasonably priced tour for six of us. Ross helped us decide on what locations to visit, where to stay and even where to eat. He took our age into account (all in our 70’s) as well as our interests. Listen to his advice on making reservations at restaurants ahead of time! You might think there’s no need for this but even in the larger cities where there are many places to choose from it’s a good idea. We stayed in a variety of accommodations ranging from small inns to castles. Our itinerary included stays in Oban, Plockton, Inverness, Aberdeen and Pitlochry. My favorite part of the trip was driving through the Highlands. The scenery is breathtaking. Our interactions with the people of this beautiful country were so positive! I can’t begin to list all of the times perfect strangers were so friendly, eager to chat with us, helpful and made us feel welcome Lastly, I can’t say enough positive things about our guide and driver, Gus. He is the ultimate professional and is a veritable font of knowledge about Scotland, its people, its sites and its history. He was flexible to any changes we made along the way and helpful in so many different ways. You will be lucky if he is your guide! Thank you, Ross and Gus, for a great week!

He drove us on a customized trip from Edinburgh up to Glen Coe- he helped us do most of the West Highland Way walk. I asked Ross, many months ago, to put together a three day tour of Scotland where we could see as many sites as possible without spending too much time in the car. Ross charted a week expedition starting from the shores of Stonehaven through multiple Highland islands; a journey that contained hidden treasures throughout. Ross's knowledge of inns/BnB's were of great assistance. You sincerely can't go wrong with the trip, it's impossible even with horrid weather as its sights are otherworldly. Although the one thing that truly mattered to me was a phenomenal driver & I believe Ian (John) delivered a perfect experience. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an authentic trip through the Highlands with someone with a love for the journey. Ian explained locations/facts as we traveled, would find us a fantastic spots to explore, accompany us for part of the journey & then wait for us back at the car with plans ready on our next spot. More importantly he was kind natured & very humorous! If you're lucky enough to book him as your driver ask him about his music selection for modern Gaelic Scottish music, perfect for driving through the mountains with the windows down on a sunny day! If in Stonehaven take the walk to Dunnottar Castle it is worth it, stop along the way at the Stonehaven War Memorial. Stonehaven beach is beautiful, especially with high wind! If in Inverness go to Church St. (if possible get there earlier in the day so the shops will be open). If visisting Dunvegan Castle & Gardens Dunvegan Castle and Garden ensure you see these notable family heirlooms: Dunvegan Cup, Fairy Flag, Sir Rory Mor's Horn. Also purchase your tickets online, the queue is much shorter. Skye is outstandingly breathtaking, but has become extremely overcrowded due to its beauty. I would recommend any other islands if you would like a wonderful experience without a line of people everywhere. (Side note our guide Ian (John) was a fantastic traffic controller when needed). While visiting try seeing the local animals, the ferries make for great dolphin watching opportunities.
